how to manage Safari extensions in macOS Monterey

One of the best browsers for our Macs is undoubtedly the native one from Apple. Safari brings together the best of Apple on your own devices. If we want to take full advantage of it, we must learn to manage browser extensions. To do this in macOS Monterey the way to do it is as follows we are going to tell you below.

If we want to get the most out of Apple’s own and native browser, Safari in macOS Monterey, by adding some functions, the best we can do is add a series of extensions. With macOS Big Sur, Apple made finding these in Safari much easier for users, while it made it easy for developers to create or port extensions to the browser. With macOS Monterey it has not changed significantly, so we are not used to the first, we will be used to the second right away.

On macOS, Safari extensions are treated as applications. You can find and install Safari extensions from the Mac App Store. In order to do this, we have to follow the following steps:

  1. We open Safari on your mac
  2. We make click the Safari button in the top menu bar
  3. Next, click on Extensions from Safari in the drop-down menu
  4. That will take us to the Mac App Store, where we can browse or search for Safari extensions.
  5. When we find one that we like, we can only do click install

We have another option that could be simpler. We open the App Store on the Mac and do a search for “Safari Extensions” or a specific application. You may be able to find extensions for that search, but we don’t go to Safari’s extensions page.

Once we have the extensions installed We would only have to activate them and start working and enjoying them.

  1. We select Safari> preferences.
  2. Click on Extensions.
  3. We activate the check box next to the name of the extension.

TO enjoy them!
