HP refreshes its business Chromebooks with two models ready for hybrid work

The first of them is him HP Elite c645 G2 Chromebook Enterprise, which as a processor can take one of AMD’s Ryzen 3 family to its Ryzen 7 range. It is available with up to 16 GB of RAM and an SSD storage unit of up to 512 GB capacity. It has dual USB-C ports, in addition to two conventional USB-A ports, one HDMI port, and a microSD card slot. It is compatible with WiFi 6 and, optionally, also with 4G.

It also incorporates a 14-inch FHD screen with HP Eye Ease technology to prevent eye exposure to blue light, as well as an HP Sure View Reflect privacy screen and a camera protector. It will be available from the beginning of June for a price starting at $559.

The second model is HP Elite C640 G3 Chromebook Enterprise, which is practically identical to the c645, unlike the processor it integrates. Instead of carrying an AMD chip like the other model, it has one of Intel’s 12th generation family of processors. One can select one with a processor ranging from various Intel Celeron models to other Intel Core i7.

It has a 5 Megapixel webcam with a noise reduction system optimized by Artificial Intelligence, which helps eliminate background noise. Optionally it can be purchased with a fingerprint reader. In addition, HP has announced that select models in its HP Chromebook Enterprise range will include one year of Parallels desktop for Chrome OS. This equipment will be available from mid-May for a price starting at $509.
