HPE presents a solution for the deployment of 5G private networks for companies

HPE has introduced a 5G solution complete thought for the deployment of private and customized 5G networks for companies. The solution comes pre-integrated with radio access capabilities from leading vendors, and is designed to enable rapid, flexible network deployment as a service with HPE GreenLake.

This private 5G solution from HPE is based on HPE 5G Core Stack, an open, cloud-native, container-based 5G network solution. New capabilities for the private network have been added to it, such as automation and modular operation options and an enterprise self-service portal. It has a configuration and change management prepared to be agile.

The tool in charge of managing your automated operations is HPE Service Directorwhich offers a self-service portal for business users, and an advanced portal for service provider administrators.

This solution meets the needs of companies looking for a personalized 5G experience with which to achieve low latency, dedicated capacity and more range and security in their headquarters and industrial environments. All this complementing existing Wi-Fi networks, because although 5G surpasses Wi-Fi in coverage of large areas, Wi-Fi technology is better if a more cost-efficient connectivity is sought inside. And thanks to HPE private 5G technology, customers can combine the best of both worlds and work with both private 5G and Wi-Fi.

The new 5G solution for the creation of private 5G networks for companies supports different deployment modes, depending on the needs of each company or area. These already integrated partner technologies, such as those from Airspan Networks, have already been taken over with the HPE Core Stack at HPE’s 5G Lab in Fort Collins, Colorado. The company plans to reach more agreements with radio partners in the coming months, to incorporate them into this private 5G solution.
