Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022, an ultralight “pro” laptop

The Chinese company presented in society the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022, an ultralight laptop that has a classic design, with slightly rounded lines and that maintains a totally premium finish, thanks to its chassis finished in aluminum. The screen also stands out for having very contained edges. This happens to the 2021 model.

In terms of design, nothing to complain about. The Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 is a device with a modern line, and it is executed with mastery. At the hardware level we find a light but powerful model, since it mounts a processor Intel Core i7-1195G7, a quad-core, eight-thread chip based on the Willow Cove (Tiger Lake) architecture that offers excellent performance despite its low TDP. Its GPU is an integrated Intel Iris Xe.

Its screen is 14.2 inches (LTPS panel), it has a resolution of 3,120 x 2,080 pixels in 3: 2 format, which translates into more space vertically, and has a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The RAM is 16 GB of LPDDR4 type, more than enough to enjoy an optimal experience with Windows 11 The SSD is 512GB, but can be optionally configured with a 1TB SSD.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022’s battery is 60 Wh, and it supports 90-watt fast recharge. Otherwise, it comes with two Thunderbolt 4 connectors, it has two USB Type-C connectors and a 3.5mm jack. Its wireless connectivity options are not far behind, since it has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The operating system that comes pre-installed is Windows 11, and has a backlit keyboard, a webcam with HD resolution (720p) and a fingerprint reader as a biometric authentication system.

Huawei has taken care of the multimedia aspect of the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022, since it has integrated six speakers and four microphones. This laptop weighs 1.38 kilograms and measures 310 x 221 x 15.5mm, making it, as we anticipated, an ultraportable in its own right. Its price to change is 1,317 euros (base configuration with Intel Core i5 CPU), but its arrival price in Spain has not yet been confirmed
