The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is a great success in just a few months of career. In August 2022, when it wasn’t even available yet, the ID. Buzz was already approaching the end of stock! In September 2022, this success story continued with the obtaining of the highly coveted “International Van of The Year 2023” industry award. This distinction was awarded by 34 international journalists specializing in commercial vehicles.

And precisely, we have just learned that the 100% electric combi has just obtained a new renowned certification. Indeed, Volkswagen announced this Friday, December 9, 2022 that the ID. Buzz obtained the mention “Very good” and the maximum rating of 5 stars in the famous Euro NCAP crash test.

This is an excellent overall rating for both crash protection and passenger protection, reflecting adequate equipment combined with comprehensive and practice-oriented crash prevention technology.” writes the manufacturer in its official press release.

The brand takes the opportunity to remind you that the electric van is fitted as standard with driver, front passenger, central and side airbags in the cockpit and with curtain airbags located near the windows. With this set, the ID. Buzz achieved an occupant protection score of 92%. But that’s not all since the Euro NCAP organization has also awarded a score of 90 points to the ID. The combi owes this additional note to the integration of several safety-related equipment such as the Seat Bealt Reminder (notification of the wearing of the seat belt), several emergency braking systems (AEB Vulnerable Road Users and AEB Car-to-Car), or the Lane Assist System, to warn the driver of a line crossing.

With the Polo, Taigo, Golf and ID.5, Volkswagen’s latest electric SUV, the German brand obtained the maximum rating of 5 stars out of 5 models in 2022. As a reminder, Volkswagen announced on December 8, 2022 the launch in 2023 of a new ID.3 and an unprecedented electric SUV.
