NVIDIA has begun rolling out a new version of your Game Ready driver that solves several problems detected in the previous version. Specifically high CPU consumption after exiting a game and random errors on laptops on some series of graphics cards.
Controllers (or drivers) are key to the proper functioning of any hardware component. Fixed known bugs; security vulnerabilities; improve compatibility; add new features or improve performance. And for this reason it is recommended to update to the latest version as soon as it is available.
Not all hardware components need that many upgrades, but graphics chips are one of the most and, for example, NVIDIA releases new versions pretty much with the release of every big game that hits the market with various optimizations.
Game Ready 531.26 HOTFIX
This is a special version that must be installed for any owner of an NVIDIA graphics chip, since it comes to solve a bug recognized by the green giant that had arisen after the installation of the previous one (531.18) and that increased CPU consumption after exiting a game and random errors on laptops.
Installing the new version is very simple if you have the application installed GeForce Experience. Just open it and go to the Drivers > Check for updates section to download and install the new version.
Another way to do it is to install manually the new version. To do this, access the NVIDIA website, drivers section, select the graphics chip that your computer has from the drop-down, download and install it as any Windows executable.
To say that all NVIDIA drivers offer full feature and application compatibility for major games and creative applications, but if you are a user looking for day-one compatibility with the latest games, patches and DLC, you should choose Game Ready drivers. , reserving the «Studio» for professional editing tasks.
