If you thought Tears of Kingdom was a DLC, the latest Zelda trailer will shut your mouth

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Nintendo has finally published the last and definitive presentation trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and the result could not be more spectacular. Wrapped in a gigantic epic veil, the trailer clears up some of the unknowns that remained for now, as is the case of the main enemy, who will finally be Ganon himself, who returns in a rather imposing form.

A Zelda that is going for game of the year

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Never before was it so easy to bet statements like these. The game looks so good that we have no doubt that it will be one of the most important games of the year. Mainly because the trailer has changed the opinion of many people who saw Tears of the Kingdom as a simple DLC of the original Zelda for Switch.

Taking into account the mechanics that we already saw in the previous video shared by Nintendo, this time the final shot was dedicated to the epic, to the endless story between Link and the Kingdom of Hyrule, and obviously, against the enemy that is always behind of everything: Ganondorf.

Too many stimuli to assimilate

The video is amazing. Beginning with the appearance of Link falling from the skies, until the moment in which he reveals himself as Ganon. Tears of the Kingdom reveals for now a design that promises a lot, with quite original puzzles and a construction system that seems to hide unforgettable moments in the game. At the moment we are still not spinning exactly what the story will bring us, but it seems that an unknown force has lifted Hyrule Castle into the air, and ruins have begun to fall from the sky for no apparent reason. This natural disaster is what will lead Link to investigate what exactly is happening.

Don’t mind the graphics

But the images reveal something we already knew, the potential of Nintendo Switch reached its maximum expression with Breath of the Wild, and graphically Tears of the Kingdom is not going to be superior. That is perhaps (or not), the worst news, since it was at the very launch of the console when we already saw everything it could do.

Luckily, Eiji Aonuma’s team has been able to give several twists to give life to a world that, although it looked quite similar at first, actually hides a gigantic extension that will give us hours and hours of fun again.

When it goes on sale?

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will hit stores worldwide on next may 12, so we only have a month left to be able to re-enter the Kingdom of Hyrule in style. Never better said.
