Ikea has just opened the term to enroll in ´Ikea Redecorate your business´, a program that aims to give a boost to the self-employed and SMEs in Spain, and which consists of the presentation of a interior design project of 80 square meters. Specifically, six candidates are sought who will be able to submit their application until October 24.
In the words of Jesús Álvarez, head of Ikea for companies: “This is the perfect time to pitch in with SMEs and the self-employed after difficult months. According to data from the latest published studies, 52.6% of SMEs saw their sales limited in 2020 and we know that an interior design project, in which we are experts, can contribute very positively to their business ”.
Manuel Delgado, interior designer for Ikea in Spain, delves into the importance of having a good interior design project to ensure the success and continuity of any business. “A functional, inspiring and current space where colors, materials, lighting and communication are in perfect harmony will give rise to a comfortable space for workers and attractive for visitors, creating a recognizable, striking and differentiating brand image”.
Spain, pilot country
This project is part of the launch of the Ikea Network for Business, a loyalty club that the Swedish company also launches this month and which aims to support SMEs and the self-employed in the country in a context of recovery, after very difficult months for our economy. Spain is pilot country of this project, together with the United Kingdom and Japan that launched the network a few months ago.
Currently, Ikea sales to companies in Spain account for 10% of the company’s total sales and the most common sectors that make use of Ikea solutions are: offices (in the first place with almost 38%), the residential, retail and hospitality sector.
