For a reason still unknown, Internet users were surprised not to be able to access some of their documents on the tax site. And for good reason, these files simply disappeared from the site! The impots.gouv.fr teams are currently working to restore the service. It is not known if this is a technical problem or a cyberattack.
If you went to Impots.gouv.fr to consult the history of your declarations this morning, you had a bad surprise, didn’t you? Indeed, since this Friday morning at 11 a.m., the tax site is affected by a major outage. For a reason still unknown, users are completely unable to consult certain administrative documents from their private space. Worse still, it looks like the documents in question were simply deleted from the impots.gouv database.
On our side, we have actually observed the disappearance of many income tax notices as well as housing taxes. After a few moments of hesitation, the technical teams of impots.gouv.fr finally spoke. A warning message has been posted on the homepage of the government platform.

Impots.gouv victim of a breakdown or a cyberattack?
“Unavailability of some of your documents in your secure spaces: the consultation of certain documents in the private and professional spaces and on the Impots.gouv.fr application is temporarily unavailable. No document is lost. Our teams are actively working to restore service.”
First relief, however, to know that these extremely important documents have not been lost. Now, it remains to be seen what caused these malfunctions. For the moment, we have no more details on the origin of the problem. Is it a simple breakdown? Or rather damage caused by a cyberattack? It is true that the question can legitimately be asked, especially after the ransomware that recently targeted the Ministry of Justice. Of course, we will update this article as soon as we have more information on the restoration of services and the origins of this outage.
