Indra has a new CEO, after its Board of Directors has approved the proposal of the Company’s Appointments and Remuneration Committee. Is about Jose Vicente de los Mozos, who will occupy the position immediately. At Indra’s next ordinary shareholders’ meeting, to be held on June 30, the shareholders will ratify his appointment.
The current CEO of Indra, Ignacio Mataix, has submitted his resignation, which has been accepted. During the next two years, however, he will continue to be linked to the company as an advisor to the Board of Directors.
Jose Vicente de los Mozos is an Aeronautical Engineer, and also has a Master’s Degree in production techniques from CESEM, and an Executive Program from Stanford University, in addition to having an Honoris Causa doctorate from the University of Valladolid. He has been part of the management of the Renault Group, occupying the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Renault Spain. He has also been President of the National Automobile Manufacturers Association.
In 1978, he started working at Renault Spain, and later joined the team of engineers at the company’s body assembly factory in Valladolid. In 1993 he moved to Paría to occupy different positions of responsibility in the Engineering Department of Renault. Upon his return to Spain, he was appointed head of various departments at the Valladolid and Palencia plants of Renault.
In 2003 he joined Nissan Motor Ibérica as Assistant to the Industrial Director, and in 2005 he was appointed Director of Nissan Motor. In 2006 he became its Vice President in Spain, which puts him in charge of all the company’s industrial operations in the country.
In 2008 he joined the automotive supplier Ficosa as General Manager, and in 2009 he returned to Renault as Director of vehicle manufacturing for the entire group. Subsequently he is also appointed Director of Manufacturing and Logistics for Europe. In 2018 he became General Director of Manufacturing and Logistics of the Renault Group worldwide, a position from which he joined Indra.
As he has stated that for him «It is a satisfaction to come to Indra and put my forty-year experience in multinational companies at the service of Indra and its magnificent professionals. Together with the president, we are going to lead a successful project in the sectors and markets in which we are present«.
As for the President of Indra, Marc Murtrahas stressed that «It is a privilege for Indra to have a CEO with the international experience, independence and industrial background of José Vicente de los Mozos. We are going to work together to promote the company of the future, an Indra more focused on business and on the new technological opportunities that the new international situation offers us«.
