Intel continues to improve the drivers of its Arc Alchemist graphics

The Intel Arc A3 380 has been the first dedicated graphics card that the chip giant has launched within its Arc Alchemist series, and in general terms, the first performance tests agree that said graphics card offers good performance in games within the range in which it is located (it has an average price of 150 dollars), since in some tests it performs at the level of a GeForce GTX 1650.

However, this graphics card is a confirmation of what we have already told you in previous articles, that Intel has a pending account with drivers, and especially with driver-level support for improve performance in games based on DirectX 11 and DirectX 9. Regarding DirectX 9, we already told you about the solution that Intel has adopted, translating said API to DirectX 12 directly, but with DirectX 11 that will not be possible.

Intel openly acknowledged the situation and was very clear, is committed to improving drivers to ensure competitive performance under DirectX 11, and it is taking very seriously the different independent tests and analyzes that have been published using the Arc 3 A380, proof of this is that thanks to one of those analyses, specifically the one carried out by Gamer Nexus, Intel was able to discover a total of 43 bugs present in the drivers of said graphics card. Most of those bugs have already been fixed.

It’s a fact, the chip giant is taking ratings and reviews very seriously which is receiving the Intel Arc 3 A380, and is taking steps to introduce all necessary improvements to correct major bugs and errors. This should translate into a gradual maturity of the drivers for said graphics card, and improvements at the performance level. We’ll see how the situation evolves in the coming months, although I’m convinced that in the end the Arc Alchemist will offer quite competitive value.

Intel entering the graphics card market this is good news for everyone, this is something that we must not forget, since it means more competition in a sector that is currently dominated by NVIDIA and AMD. Having a third player will mean more products to choose from, and better prices tootwo keys that will be a direct consequence of this increased competition.
