In this way, it will assume leadership of the company’s real estate business, which has one of the largest and most advanced real estate platforms in the Spanish market with more than 150,000 real estate assets in management. In his new position, Ferrer-Bonsoms will be in charge of establishing Intrum as an expert in the real estate asset management market, and of guaranteeing the provision of the best service to Intrum’s clients through the strengthening of its real estate brands, Solvia and Casaktua .

The new director of Real Estate has extensive experience in the sector, especially in the management of real estate assets. He has held relevant positions in companies such as Altamira doValue Group, Socios Financieros or One to One Corporate Finance, among others, carrying out his work in the United Kingdom and in Spain. He currently he is also professor of financial modeling of Real Estate in Modelandum.
Ernesto Ferrer-Bonsoms graduated in Law and Business Administration and Management from the Autonomous University of Madrid and has a management development program from IESE.
Global Product Director REO
On the other hand, the until now director of Real Estate of Intrum Spain, Gregorio Martin Montalvowill assume a newly created position as Global Product Director REO, from where he will coordinate the development of the real estate management product on a global basis.
For José Luis Bellosta, “This appointment will undoubtedly be a boost for the development of the real estate product in other markets of the Intrum group and recognizes the contribution of the Spanish business at a global level”.
These designations come after Intrum closed 2021 as the undisputed leading servicer in Spain in asset management, according to the fifth edition of the Assets Under Management observatory by the consultancy firm Axis Corporate in December 2021, with a total portfolio of assets under management in Spain of more than 50,000 million euros.
