There are some Mac models that are compatible with this payment method. And it is a very fast way to make payments and purchases online since you will not have to enter the card information every time you want to pay something, but it will be saved on your computer.

If your model of Mac or Magic Keyboard has Touch ID, you’ll be able to use it to make payments on websites that support Apple Pay. To set up Apple Pay on Mac, you need to add at least one credit, debit, prepaid, customer, or Apple Card to Wallet. If you already have a debit or credit card associated with the iTunes Store or App Store, just verify the card’s security code to add it to Wallet.

Once you’ve verified that you can use Apple Pay on your Mac, you’ll need to set it up to start using it. To do this, on your Mac choose the Apple menu, then System Preferences, then click Wallet & Apple Pay. Click on “Add card”. Note that if you’re not signed in with your Apple ID, you’ll be prompted to do so. After signing in, return to “Wallet & Apple Pay”. Next, enter your payment information. You will have two options available:

  • Use a registered card: If you’ve registered a credit or debit card with Apple to make purchases from the iTunes Store or App Store, enter the security code when prompted.
  • Add a new card: place the card in front of the computer camera so that it appears in the frame shown on the screen and follow the instructions. Or click on “Enter the data manually” and provide the requested information. Repeat this process for each card you want to use with Apple Pay.

Once you’ve set up your cards, it’s time to start paying with Apple Pay. To do this, on the checkout page of an online store, click “Apple Pay.” If you have more than one card on file with Apple, you’ll need to select the card you want to use. You can also enter a new shipping address and contact information. Then, place your finger on Touch ID to complete the purchase. If you haven’t set up Touch ID, you can tap the Pay button on the Touch Bar and enter your password. If your Mac doesn’t have a Touch Bar or if you’re using a Mac with an Apple chip, you can double-tap Touch ID and enter your password.
