Javier Calvarro is the new commercial director for Spain and Andorra of Karsan

Javier Calvarro is he new commercial director for Spain and Andorra from Karsan. The Turkish company specialized in the manufacture of zero emission city buses, as well as in its marketing, sales and post-sales, thus strengthening its workforce. This new accession aims to boost the growth and consolidation of the company in Europe.

In his more than 20 years of experience in the industrial vehicle sector, Javier Calvarro has worked for different companies such as Man, Scania or Nogebus.

Ángel Luis Estrella, general director of Karsan Spain, points out that “We are delighted to integrate Javier Calvarro into the team. His experience in the sector and his ability to manage and lead teams are a great incentive to help us continue to offer the best service, create new relationships and advance in the development of 100% sustainable mobility”.

Experience in transport companies

Previously, Calvarro has worked for the provider of industrial vehicles and transport solutions, Man Truck & Bus Iberiawhere he spent more than seven years as head of sales for Urban buses, leading the management of large accounts and public tenders. Between 2004 and 2020 he worked at Scania as commercial director of buses for Iberia and managing director of the Scania Canarias delegation.

Subsequently, he joined Iveco, where he developed the brand’s commercial policy and held the position of manager for Iberia. Before joining Karsan, he was Nogebus’ commercial manager for the introduction of IIA’s products.

In his new role, Calvarro will be responsible for directing, coordinating and promoting Karsan’s commercial strategy in the Spanish and Andorran markets. “We want to continue growing in these two markets to be a benchmark in sustainable mobility and Javier will be a fundamental pillar to make it possible,” says Fran Ramis, CEO of Karsan Spain.
