JoJo Stone Ocean will arrive monthly on Netflix

Stone Ocean, the sixth part of the anime series based on the manga JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure from Hirohiko Araki, will be released monthly from Netflix.

The news comes from the official page of the streaming platform which has therefore scheduled the monthly release of the episodes of the series, a show that will then arrive in January next year on Japanese television networks.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure 6: Stone Ocean, in fact, it will debut exclusively on streaming on Netflix in December 2021 in all countries where the service is active.

Stone Ocean, narrative arc published from 1999 to 2003 for a total of 17 volumes (from 64 to 80), represents the sixth part of the original Araki manga and continues the story of the previous chapters of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, a work that in our country is published by Star Comics.

This time we will follow the story of Jolyne Cujoh, daughter of Jotaro, detained in the Green Dolphin Street penitentiary.

What is JoJo 6: Stone Ocean about?

Florida, United States, 2011. After a car accident with her boyfriend, Jolyne Kujo falls into a trap and is sentenced to 15 years in the Green Dolphin Street maximum security state prison, also known as “the Aquarium” .

While on the verge of despair, she receives a pendant from her father that awakens a mysterious power within her. “In this world there are things more terrible than death, and what happens in this prison is one of them.”

The message of a mysterious little boy who appears before Jolyne, unexplained events that follow one another, the horrible truth told by his father during a visit and a name, GOD… Will Jolyne be able to get out of this prison? The destinies of the Joestar family and of GOD have been intertwined for centuries.

Let the final battle begin!

David Production produces the anime after making all five previous adaptations of Araki’s work.

Yasuko Kobayashi is working on the composition of the series again, while a Masanori Shino (Black Lagoon, No Guns Life) character design is entrusted with Shun’ichi Ishimoto (Jojo – Golden Wind) who is the stand designer.
