Things are not going well for Jonathan Majors. Just a few days ago we told you that his role within the UCM was in danger -and we even talked about his possible substitutes- and now we have to confirm that, while his participation in the marvel movies It is still on the air, it has already been confirmed cancellation in several projects which was in progress. All because of the domestic violence accusations in which he has recently been accused.

A promising career, cut short?

The appearance of Jonathan Majors inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe It was the definitive push that this Californian actor needed. The interpretation of him as the powerful Kang the Conqueror has been what has been liked the most about the recently released Phase 5 and has also served as a showcase for numerous new projects to emerge that indicated that Majors was on a roll.

But the course of things has taken a radical turn in recent weeks. After the accusation of domestic violence by a woman, after being involved in an incident in New York on March 25 -the victim arrived at the hospital with head and neck injuries-, things have begun to plummet and some of the contracts that the actor have begun to fade.

In this way, it has been removed of the casting of The Man in My Basement, an adaptation of the Walter Mosley novel of the same name; an advertising campaign for the Texas Rangers MLB team and the biographical film of singer Otis Redding – about the latter, there was still no signed agreement, but he was being considered for the role, they point out from Deadline.

As if that were not enough, now it has been known that his manager, Entertainment 360, and his publicist, The Lede Company, have also cut ties with the actor, leaving him even more alone after this scandal.

What will happen to his role in Marvel?

As we already pointed out, it is said, it is said, it is rumored, that in the Marvel offices they are already considering substitutes for Majors, though a final decision has yet to be made. Let us remember that it is the great villain from Phases 5 and 6 of the MCU, so changing it at this point is not as easy as it seems.

After her appearance in the first season of Loki and in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, we know that Majors will be seen again in season 2 of Loki (which premieres this summer, so by now, the scenes are more than recorded). We don’t know if he’ll surprise us before by peeking through Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which opens on May 5, or in The Marvels, which is also ready (although it won’t be released until the end of the year).

From there, your next big date should be Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, scheduled for May 2025, so perhaps Disney is waiting as long as possible to see how the matter is resolved in court, before making a radical decision. We will see.
