The KIOXIA firm has presented its new EXCERIA PLUS portable SSDs, a generation that is characterized by offering a very contained size, by having a high-quality construction and by offering very high performance, thanks to its successful set of specifications.
To all the above we must also add that KIOXIA wanted to offer maximum reliabilityThis is why the new EXCERIA PLUS SSDs have successfully passed all the necessary tests to obtain the MIL-STD military resistance certification in shock and drop tests.
The KIOXIA EXCERIA PLUS use a compact chassis with rounded lines. That chassis is built in aluminum, it acts as passive cooling systema by preventing heat from accumulating in the key elements of the SSD, and also gives it a touch of class.
At the hardware level, the KIOXIA EXCERIA PLUS uses 3D NAND Flash memory, and will be available in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB versions. The connectivity interface used by this unit is the USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C standard, and it is capable of a maximum speed of 1,050 MB / s and 1,000 MB / s in sequential read and write, respectively.
If you don’t have a USB Type-C connector don’t worry, these SSDs come with an adapter that will allow you to use it without problem with USB Type-A connectors. For the rest, the KIOXIA EXCERIA PLUS also include a complete software tool that will allow us to manage, in a simple way, aspects as important as the security of everything we keep on the SSD, and yes, we can establish a password to prevent, in case of loss of the unit, the data it contains can be easily accessed by any unauthorized person.
At the moment we do not know the sale prices that will have each of those three versions that will hit the market, so right now we can only wait for KIOXIA to decide to confirm them.
