Kohler has finally announced when you can get your hands on the pretty tech Stillness Bath, which, if you’re not aware, was originally unveiled a year ago at CES 2021, along with many other intriguing smart home products. Inspired by Japanese forest bathing, the aforementioned bathtub is designed to recreate spa treatments with light, mist and scents. And yes, of course, absolutely all of the above aspects can be controlled using the Kohler Konnect app.
As for the cost, the company has finally announced it. Thus, the Soak Freestanding Bath model will cost about $ 8,000, and it will be possible to pre-order it until the end of March. Another model offers its users voice control, while the third, Infinity Experience, stands out for the fact that it is filled from below, and water pours over the wooden base, which in turn is again quite strongly inspired by Japanese bathing. One way or another, all three models have one thing in common – these baths will be available in the third quarter of this year.
It should also be remembered that at CES 2021, the company presented a touchless mixer designed for a residential bathroom. The device is remarkable in that it turns on or off with a wave of the hand. You only have to physically interact with it in order to set the desired water temperature. Also, the mixer will automatically turn off after two minutes from the moment when it “last detected you”, and also when it realizes that you forgot to turn it off. This mixer will go on sale at the end of this year at a price of $ 199. Not to be ignored, Kohler also announced the pricing and availability of its smart bathing technology, PerfectFill, yesterday.
This system, if you are not in the know, allows you to fill the bath to a certain level and temperature using a voice command, a control panel or all the same Konnect proprietary application. The nice thing is that in total you can have up to 10 presets, and you can also drain the water from the bath using a voice command. The system, which is paired with a Kohler digital valve and compatible bathtub, will be available for purchase very soon, in May this year, starting at $ 2,700.
