Kyndryl, the managed services company that just started operating just a week ago as a separate company from IBM, has reached an agreement with Microsoft, with the cloud as the main actor, to promote the advancement of digital transformation projects. The agreement will see the two companies jointly tackle both cloud migrations and digital transformation projects.
With this agreement, the developers of Kyndryl and Microsoft will create applications based on Microsoft Cloud for their current and future customers. In addition, both companies will work on modernization tools for the hybrid cloud, Artificial Intelligence and technology in general, always with the mission of facilitating the migration of mission-critical workloads. Kyndryl will lead the advisory, implementation and managed services for complex hybrid IT environments. In addition, both will launch a joint innovation laboratory, in which they will carry out joint projects available through Microsoft AppSource and Azure Marketplace.
Microsoft will market both yours and Kyndryl’s projects and services. In addition, Microsoft will create a training program for Kyndryl’s 90,000 employees, to be called Kyndryl University on Microsoft. Microsoft has historically served IBM’s cloud clients, so for Kyndryl, the deal aims to create a new revenue stream.
