Kyndryl and Microsoft will join forces to help their customers expand and increase access to valuable data stored on mainframe. To facilitate this access, Kyndryl, provider of the secure multi-tenant cloud zCloud, is applying its expertise to create data “pipes” that enable connections between the mainframe, including its zCloud platform, and the Microsoft cloud. This will make it easier for customers to move their data from the mainframe to the cloud. to unlock new uses and value streams of your entire data estate. In this way, customers will have a holistic view and will be able to take advantage of the capabilities of machine learning, artificial intelligence, analytics and reporting, in addition to the low-code or no-code applications of the Microsoft Power Platform.
In addition, Kyndryl and Microsoft also plan to combine mainframe data with other internal and external cloud-based data sources that will allow customers creating new applications to take advantage of modern analysis and visualization tools, and deliver advanced insights at scale.
