latest trailer for the film starring Tom Holland

As the release of Uncharted approaches, Sony unveils the latest trailer for Ruben Fleischer’s film. Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg give us a final show of force.

Tom Holland knew how to make himself indispensable. After breaking records with Spider-Man: No Way Home, the actor returns to the front of the stage in the skin of a new protagonist. Still for Sony, he will camp the famous Nathan Drake. A first adaptation of the video game saga, which promises to immerse us in the origins of the treasure hunter. The birth of a legend that should delight fans of the first hour and neophytes.

To promote this new cinematic adventure as it should, Sony is putting the small dishes in the big ones. A few weeks before the fateful date, set for next February 16 in our green lands, the firm shares a final trailer. If we are finally entitled to few unpublished images, it is above all an opportunity for Sony to highlight the relationship of the main character with Sully.

A complicity that will be at the heart of the story, and which, as fans know, will only be the beginning of a great common adventure. While carrying out his first treasure hunt alongside Sully, Nathan Drake will discover that the latter has a link with the mysterious disappearance of his older brother a few years earlier.

Fighting, treasures and a dizzying spectacle

Unsurprisingly, the action will be there. What could be more normal for the adaptation of a saga which had itself made fights and stunts its business. Moreover, to reassure the last skeptics, Sony combines extracts of the genre in this new video. The opportunity to review, for the third time since the start of the promotion, one of the iconic scenes of the universe: the free fall of the character.

We also discover the main antagonist, played by Antonio Banderas. The actor will obviously play a man whose legacy is tied to the treasure that Nathan and Sully covet. Sophia Taylor Ali (The Wilds) and Tati Gabrielle (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) will appear as Chloe Frazer and Braddock respectively.

Behind the camera, Ruben Fleischer will work. The director notably staged Welcome to Zombieland and Venom. There are no thirsty ghouls or bloodthirsty symbiotes here, he will put this Indiana Jones of modern times into images. It remains to be seen whether it will be successful.

At the start of the year, Uncharted will have the place to impose itself durably at the box office, the blockbusters being few in February. A positioning that allows it to avoid the competition, which preferred to wait a little longer before launching its super productions. The film will have free rein for two weeks, before the release of The Batman scheduled for March 2.
