Learn how to roll back the Safari redesign in macOS Monterey beta 3

If you are one of those who are testing the macOS Monterey operating system, you should know that many users have complained about the redesign of Safari. They do not get used to it, but you should also know that it is possible to reverse this process and return to the configuration prior to this new Monterey beta. For this we will see this small and simple tutorial. But only if you want to remove Safari settings in Monterey mode.

With macOS Monterey beta 3, the company once again redesigned Safari’s new tab bar. If you don’t like how it looks, you can revert to the previous form that was present in the first and second beta versions of macOS Monterey. The new look of Safari is causing a lot of discussions online. While with iOS 15 beta 3 the changes were more subtle, with macOS Monterey beta 3 Safari looks really different again. That means that there are many people who do not want this new way.

With separate tab bars, we can now see, for example, almost all of your lash holders. While recovering the reload button is certainly a nice touch from Apple, it is also possible to go back to the old look, where all the tabs look more combined. To reverse the Safari redesign in macOS Monterey beta 3, simply follow these simple steps:

With Safari open, we select: «See» in the upper left corner. Now we have to disable the option “Show separate tab bar”. As easy as this. There is nothing else to do. Now Safari looks like the first two beta versions of macOS Monterey, but with the addition of the Reload button again.

One of the things that we miss at the moment, at least for the moment is that macOS Monterey beta 3 still does not support the long-awaited universal control function. With it we can move without problems between the trackpad and the keyboard between Mac and iPads.
