Lefevbre promotes the II edition of Lightspeed to promote legal and legal startups

The second edition of light speedthe first European accelerator of legal and legal startupspromoted by the Lefebvre Sarrut and Lefevbre Group.

This second call, which takes place simultaneously in six countries in Europe (France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg), aims to boost growth and help to be sustainable to startups in the legaltech sector that are currently in the growth stagethat is, they already have a viable product and level of service to users.

LightSpeed It will allow six startups to accelerate according to these selection criteria:

  • Provide operational solutions related to regulations (legal, accounting, tax) or address new business issues such as cybersecurity or the web3.
  • Be aimed at professionals from the departments of human resources, finance, legal, among others.
  • Having developed a product (or service), in a first version, that has been used by customers.

“We have learned a lot from the first edition of LightSpeed, and in particular about our role in bringing innovation to legaltechs. Lefebvre Sarrut continues to support, at a European level, innovative solutions that promote the exchange of knowledge and the strengthening of the rule of law”, says Olivier Campenon, CEO of Lefebvre Sarrut.

Training for six months

The selected startups will be part of a six-month program and will be made up of different activities, among which the following stand out:

  • Mentoring with local and European experts from the Lefebvre Sarrut y Lefebvre group.
  • workshops about the main problems faced by the startup.
  • Workshops and focus groups monthly.
  • Conferences from industry experts.

Success of the first edition

The first edition of light speed was a success and a clear example is the Spanish Brickken. The startup is one of the projects currently participating in the financial sandbox promoted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, a testing environment for financial technology projects that do not have their own regulatory framework. “The entry occurred while we were participating in the accelerator. Lefebvre Sarrut, in addition to accompanying us during the program, helped us clear up key legal unknowns that allowed us to overcome the admission process to participate in this test bench of the future”indicates Edwin Mata, CEO of Brickken.

To participate in this new edition, the registration period will be open until April 25 and on May 25 the selected startups will be announced. LightSpeed ​​will end at the end of November with a celebration event in a European capital.
