Lenovo ThinkPad X1 with Intel Raptor Lake CPUs in 2023

The new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 with Intel Raptor Lake processors will arrive in April 2023a date that has been confirmed by the Chinese company itself, and that fits with the information that we have been seeing so far, since we know that the presentation of said processors will take place in January 2023.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 series will maintain all the keys that have made it one of the best ranges for professionals, which means that they will have a high build quality and a careful and functional ultra-light design. In the previous generation we saw that Lenovo had used a magnesium aluminum alloyand had not forgotten about sustainability, since an important part of said materials was recycled.

Within the new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 family equipped with Intel Raptor Lake processors we will see at least three different versions: the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon, which will weigh 1.12 kilograms and can be configured with a 14″ OLED panel, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano, which will have a 13″ screen and weigh 960 grams, and the ThinkPad X1 Yoga, a convertible with a 14-inch touchscreen and weighing 1.3 kilograms.

If all goes according to plan, Lenovo will use the Intel Raptor Lake processors in its P version, which is characterized by offering good performance and content consumption. Core i5 Gen13 P-series models should have 4 high-performance cores and 8 high-efficiency cores, and Core i7 Gen13 P-series models may be configured with 6 high-performance cores and 8 high-efficiency cores, or may repeat current generation 4 and 8 core configuration.

For the rest, the new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 will mount LPDDR5 memory high-speed, will be accompanied by high-performance SSD drives, will have Thunderbolt 4 connectors and offer optional 4G and 5G connectivity. We don’t have any pricing details, as would be expected given that its release is still a few months away.
