Lenovo Yoga Tab 13
We really met both devices for the first time at the Mobile World Congress in 2021. An event that went a bit unnoticed due to the still presence of the virus and that did not welcome these new products as they deserved. Now, with their arrival in the European market, it has been the occasion in which Lenovo has brought us together to show us in person.
The older brother of these new teams is the Lenovo Yoga Tab 13. It is a tablet, with the Android operating system as the flag, that it has to try to conquer both lovers of multimedia content consumption, as well as those who are more gamers on this type of device.
A team with a panel, as its name suggests, of 13 ″ with 2K resolution (2160 x 1350) that looks good in both low light and daylight conditions thanks to its 400 nits. But here the benefits at the image quality level of this tablet do not stop. And it is capable of representing a 100% sRGB color gamut, in addition to being powered by Dolby Vision HDR. In the end, this means that the image that we will be seeing when playing content on this screen will be of high quality and with a more than correct range of colors.
On the sound side, it has 4 speakers signed by JBL and compatibility with Dolby Atmos. A sound that, although we have not been able to test too thoroughly, it has seemed very successful for the team that it is.
Under this screen is a processor Snapdragon 870, 8 GB of RAM and capacities of 128GB or 256GBIt depends on the model we want to acquire. All these elements are supported, as we told you before, on Android 11 as an operating system.
Navigation will be very familiar to us, with the only difference from other Android tablets that, on one of its sides, we can deploy the Google Entertainment Space. This is a launcher that, as we can see on devices such as Android TV, is responsible for unifying the contents of all the streaming services to which we are subscribed. In this way, on this screen we will see all the news from Netflix, HBO, Prime Video or Disney + in a simpler and more comfortable way.
This Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 has a battery of 10,000 mAh that, playing content in 1080p, we can use it for a few 12 hours straight. Then, making use of his USB-C port and its system 30W fast charge, we can charge 80% of your battery in just 90 minutes.
If we look to the opposite side of this connector we find a micro HDMI port, and is that this tablet can also be used as an external screen for other equipment such as a laptop or a game console. You just have to connect the HDMI cable to both computers and it will automatically begin to perform its function. Thus, for example, we can carry a second monitor for our laptop at all times.
For those who have a more creative profile, and taking advantage of the capabilities of the screen, Lenovo has made this tablet compatible with its pointer Lenovo Precision Pen 2. With it you can use it to draw, retouch images and, ultimately, get even more out of your panel.
At the back we have the typical adjustable base to which we are already used to Lenovo Yoga devices. To improve the experience with this equipment, the manufacturer has decided to incorporate the alcantara finish on which Lenovo’s own name is silkscreened. A finish that feels great in the hand and that undoubtedly enhances its design.
The Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 is available from today At a price of 799 euros.
Lenovo Yoga Tab 11
For its part, the younger sister of this family is the Yoga Tab 11. Apparently it looks like the same device but obviously with a smaller screen size. But the truth is that internally they do have some differences.
On the side of the screen, except that it has a 11 ″ panel, have exactly the same resolution and image quality characteristics. However, speaking of the internal components, in this model we have a MediaTek Helio G90T processor, Accompanied by 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM memory and capacities of 128GB or 256GB respectively.
Apparently in the time that we have been able to test them with some of the applications that were installed there are not too many differences in performance. Although we cannot judge how the situation will be solved when the demands on the graphical and processing level are higher. Of course, the advantage of this over its older sister is that it has a model with 4G LTE connectivity.
In the sound section we also find the same 4 speakers signed by JBL and Dolby Atmos support. However, in the battery it was obvious that it was lower, reaching in this case the 7,500 mAh with 20W fast charge. This, in the end, translates into about 15 hours of multimedia content playback according to the manufacturer.
Of course, the operating system of this is still Android 11. In it, as for the Yoga Tab 13, everything runs quite well and very smoothly, although it is too early to judge whether that MediaTek Helio G90T would be able to support great graphic loads (especially compared to the Snapdragon of the top model). In addition, it also comes with the Google Entertainment Space to facilitate the consumption of content and is compatible with the use of the Lenovo Precision Pen 2.
However, what we will not be able to do with this Yoga Tab 11 is to use it as an external monitor, since the only connection it has is its USB-C port and it is not compatible with it.
This model of the Yoga Tab is also available now for purchase for a price of 349 euros.
