LG Electronics has announced the launch in Spain of the ultralight laptop LG17Z90Q, its new reference equipment within the LG gram series with a 17-inch screen and NVIDIA graphics card. The company’s intention is to provide a device that serves many purposes and strengthen its position among Windows laptops that offer a premium experience.
Delving into the details, the LG gram LG17Z90Q includes a dedicated graphics NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 with 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM to offer a good visual experience and being able to display content at 4K. As a processor we find a Intel Core i7-1260P, which features four high-performance cores and eight efficiency-focused cores for a total of sixteen threads (two for each high-performance core and one for each efficiency-focused core). The maximum working speed is 4.70 and 3.40 gigahertz respectively and at the memory level it incorporates 18MB of Intel Smart Cache.
As we are dealing with a laptop, here the screen has a lot of prominence. The LG17Z90Q has on this front a 17-inch IPS LCD operating at a native resolution of 2560×1600an aspect ratio of 16:10, with support for 99% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, 350 nits brightness and anti-glare capabilities.
In terms of memory, the laptop makes available RAM configurations with 8, 16 and 32 gigabytes of type LPDDR5 at 5,200MHzwhile for storage it has two slots in M.2 form factor capable of supporting NVMe SSD drives ranging from 256GB to 2TB.
As for connections, the LG17Z90Q has two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A (rectangular), two USB 4 Gen 3×2 Type-C (reversible) with support for DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 4, an HDMI, a 3.5mm jack for headphones, a microSD card slot, an RJ45 connector for Gigabit Ethernet and a Wi-Fi 6E AX211 module accompanied by support for Bluetooth 5.1.
As operating system is Windows 11 Pro, the battery is 4 cells and 90Wh of lithium polymer (Li-ion), the dimensions of 378.8 x 258.8 x 17.7 millimeters, the weight of about 1.43 kilograms and its magnesium and nanocarbon chassis It should give it durability and great resistance, having passed seven tests of the MIL-810G military standard. The reference price for Spain is €2,099.
