Lies of P will have several final surprises, do you know which ones?

We’re all so focused on launching Starfield for September 6 that we had already forgotten that in the same month, but on the 19th, we will also have among us one of those developments that countless users have already put on their radar. Is called Lies of P and it is a soulslike that promises fans of the genre a good helping of nineteenth-century romanticism to the sound of the smacks that a stylized Pinocchio hits.

Remember the commotion it caused Lies of P last June, when made an appearance at Game Fest Showcase 2023 announcing that we already had a demo available to try out part of what we can enjoy in just 25 days. So after a silence marked by the passing of the weeks, we have some important news to tell. Especially what awaits us at the end of the adventure.

lie that something changes

As you surely know, The story of Pinocchio has a wooden puppet as its main character. who aspires to become a real boy. During his life we will see him tell the odd lie, which is why his nose will grow. In Lies of P We don’t know to what extent its creators will be faithful to that narrative, but it is clear that lying will be practically a weapon that we can wield against the rest of the characters throughout the entire game.

It is confirmed that the game will have “a system of lies” that will be the ones we will use at certain points arguments and that will mark the course of events. That is Lies of P will play the trick of tempting us to play it again and again thanks to the fact that it will have three different endings. So if we want to see them all, we will have to go back and make radically different decisions.

Lies of P It is not a game in which we simply fight and that’s it, but rather the narrative charge is very present through some plot knots that we will have to solve as we like. And a good part of its appeal will be embedded within that mechanic devised by its developers.

Objective, replayability

The idea that has moved the studio to create these three endings is nothing other than the to want that, once finished, we begin again to see what we alter when we decide to use other types of lies. According to the game’s director, Choi Ji-won, “One thing we planned in advance is that you wouldn’t want to play it just once. If you’ve only played it once, then it’s not complete. […] We highly recommend playing it multiple times.”

That’s why “basically there are three endings. But we really, really, really recommend playing the ending to the very, very, very final,” so it seems clear that all the framework that moves Lies of P goes far beyond its mere appearance as soulslike in which the combats are extraordinarily complicated. History, in its own way, will be another enemy that we will have to defeat in order to see everything.
