We had been talking about the MacBook Pro 2021 for several days and yesterday, finally, its official presentation took place. Apple carried out a major renovation that was marked, mainly, by the arrival of new Apple M1 Pro and M1 Max SoCs, two chips that we already had the opportunity to know in depth at MuyComputer.
As planned, the new 2021 MacBook Pros arrive in two versions, one with a 14-inch screen size and the other with a 16-inch screen size. At the specification level, Apple has used a Liquid Retina XDR display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, based on Mini LED technology, and a resolution of up to 3,456 x 2,234 pixels on the 16.2-inch model. They offer a brightness of up to 1,000 nits (maximum peak of 1,600 nits) and can represent up to 1 billion colors.
The disappearance of the Touch Bar, an element that Apple promoted with enthusiasm at the time, and that in the end has disappeared in the MacBook Pros 2021. The 14-inch model is the more discreet of the two in terms of hardware, since it has a resolution of lower display and is limited to the Apple M1 Pro SoC, while the 16-inch model can be configured with the Apple M1 Pro and M1 Max SoCs.
The 2021 MacBook Pros are priced, in their basic configurations, of 2,249 euros the 14-inch model and 2,749 euros the 16-inch model, both with Apple M1 Pro SoC. If we want to buy the 16-inch model with the Apple M1 Max SoC we will have to pay 3,849 euros. They are high prices, but they follow the classic line that has characterized these Apple computers in recent years.
In the attached images you can find all the specifications of both models. They are available for pre-purchase since yesterday, but the first units will begin to arrive at the hands of their buyers between October 26 and November 3, according to availability and demand.
