If we want our PC to be safe, the first thing we must do is download and install each and every one of the updates that Microsoft releases every month, updates that are not only intended to improve the performance of the equipment or add new features, but also which, in addition, also solve security problems that have been detected. But is there any way enjoy new updates quickly?
When Microsoft releases a new Windows update, we must wait for our team to detect its presence on the servers and start the download process automatically, as long as we have Windows Update configured to work this way.
If we don’t regularly follow Windows-related news, we may not be aware of a new update available.
Download Windows 11 updates before anyone else
The solution to this problem is to use one of the new functions available in the latest versions of Windows, a function that is available from version 25314, a version that was launched on the Microsoft Insider channel in March of this year.
To check what version / build of Windows we have installed, we must access the Windows configuration options (Win + i) and access the System menu. In the Windows Specifications section, in the Operating system version section, the installed version is displayed. In order to enjoy this function, our copy of Windows 11 must be the 25314 or higher.
If so, in the Windows Update section, we will have to activate the box Get the latest update as soon as it is available. But, if our version of Windows is older, either because we have not installed the latest version available, we have not installed this Insider version or for any other reason, there is no problem, since we can follow the steps shown below to to display the option and be able to activate it.
To do so, we must access the Windows registry, specifically the address
ComputerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsUpdateUXSettings
Next, we have to create, with the right mouse button, a New DWORD Value (32 bits) that will bear the name IsContinuousInnovationOptedIn with a Value of 1. Finally, click on Ok and restart the computer so that Windows takes note of the change and shows the aforementioned box.
