Meet the new villain of The House of the Dragon

In the city of Stone Steps, situated between Dorn and the Discorded Lands of Essos, a a bloody battle for control of sea routes of the Narrow Sea between pirates and the forces of the Triarchy. It will be there when this new villain enters the scene within The House of the Dragon.

Who is the Benefactor of Crabs?

Craghas Drahar is the leader who is in charge of leading the troops of the Triarchy to conquer Stone Steps and It is in that battle that he earns his nickname of Crab Benefactor. The reason must be found in the way he executed the captive pirates after the war, whom he impaled on the beach with the ultimate goal of drowning them when the tide rose and, therefore, ending up becoming food for crabs. .

The result of that battle against the pirates it was to the liking of the lords of Westeros despite the tolls that they had to start paying Craghas Drahar who, over time, became more and more greedy until demanding amounts that were practically impossible to satisfy, which caused more and worse clashes with the Seven Kingdoms . The problem comes with the decision of the king, who does not want to invest too much effort in fighting the new evil that hangs over Westeros.

Seeing that it will take a large army to end the Crab Benefactor’s reign of terror, Corlys Velarion decides to ally with Daemon Targaryen so that he could use the king’s brother’s troops and dragon in battle against the malevolent Myrish prince of the Triarchy.
