Microsoft, IAMCP (International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners) and Adecco Group have joined with the purpose of improve the training of young people in Spain in digital skills, as well as to facilitate its use through its acquisition. To this end, the three entities have launched the Ali@2 projectwhose purpose is to reduce youth unemployment, which already reaches 31%, training and certifying 2,000 young people in the Microsoft technologies that are most in demand.
Another of the purposes of the project is to help companies that are integrated into the IAMCP to locate the talent and profiles they need to address the digitization and digital transformation of Spanish companies and entities. Despite high youth unemployment, 80% of companies have problems finding the personnel they need to fill their positions, and 10% of the total positions they offer are not filled.
The technology sector generates more jobs than the rest. This was the case last year: it accounted for 17% of job vacancies. In addition, technological profiles only have 4% unemployment. In addition, companies in all sectors have to cope with increasing digitization. That is why many have vacancies related to technology jobs that they cannot fill because they cannot find profiles with the appropriate training.
The Ali@2 project also aims to alleviate this situation. In addition, after digitally training the selected young people, the participants who finish the course and become certified will be offered a job position in one of the companies that are associated with the IAMCP.
With this program, young people will be offered training in Azure, Power Platform, Artificial Intelligence, data or security. Young university graduates and those in Vocational Training in areas related to ICT may participate in it. Other profiles that the organizers think have the potential to gain technical knowledge will also be valued.
Those who want to participate in the program, which can be signed up through this website, will have to pass a selection process. Throughout it, the potential they have to successfully pass the training period will be evaluated. All training will be carried out remotely, via the Internet.
According to Oscar Rodríguez, ICT Sector Director of Acesso Group«initiatives like this are very necessary in the current environment we live in. Today, we find ourselves with a youth unemployment rate that is the highest in the EU, but at the same time it is difficult for us to find qualified profiles. With this great alliance we want to actively contribute to helping young people to obtain approved certifications that open the doors to employment and, on the other hand, provide companies in the IT sector with trained professionals who can be the managers of their organizations in the future. ».
For his part, Enrique Ruiz, Data Center Cloud Region Lead and Head of Employability at Microsofthas highlighted that «in In a moment of economic instability like the one we are experiencing, continuing to bet on digitization becomes one of the levers that can contribute to doing more with less and boosting the growth of our economy. However, IT companies have been warning for some time about the lack of qualified professionals to help Spanish organizations meet their challenges in terms of innovation and digitization. With initiatives like the one we are launching together with the IAMCP and The Adecco Group, we will promote young digital talent and their employability in partner organizations that modernize our business fabric so that it can be competitive.”
As to Francisco Racionero, President of the IAMCPstresses that «in A key moment for the economy, the IT sector is critical to help in the digital transformation of companies, qualified technicians are needed and with this project we want to try to alleviate the lack of technicians that are necessary.
