Microsoft Surface Pro 9 will hit the market in two versions

According to various sources, Microsoft is already working on Surface Pro 9, an update of its well-known two-in-one that will be available in two versions. those two versions will put an end to differentiation that currently exists between Surface Pro 8 and Surface Pro X, and that is perfectly justified because they use x86 and ARM processors, respectively.

Surface Pro 9 will be available in one version with Intel processors and another with ARM processors, which would mean that we would not see a new generation Surface Pro X. That series would end up absorbed by Surface Pro 9, although it should be perfectly differentiated so that users can be clear about which model best suits their needs.

Regarding the specifications, we can almost guarantee that the Surface Pro 9 with x86 CPU will use the new low-power Intel Alder Lake, specifically the “U” models, which offer a good balance between performance and consumption, although they prioritize this latest. The base configuration should start from a Core i5-1230Ua chip that has two high-performance Golden Cove cores, eight high-efficiency Gracemont cores and 12 threads, while the most powerful configuration will be equipped with a Core i7-1250Ua processor that will have the same configuration of cores and threads, but running at a higher frequency.

Details about the Surface Pro 9 in its version with an ARM processor are still very scarce, although we imagine that Microsoft will once again rely on Qualcomm to shape to a custom SoC with which to promote this new team. We cannot give you more information at the moment, but personally I think that the chip that this device will mount will be a Snapdragon 8cx Gen3 personalized.
