Microsoft Teams finally supports native macOS notifications

Microsoft Teams

Surely on more than one occasion, you have come across an application on your Mac that olympically passes macOS Do Not Disturb mode, Telegram being one of them, like Microsoft Teams, the Microsoft application destined for both business environments and for the home environment through its latest update and that will be available natively in Windows 11.

While depending on the version of Telegram you use, the problem with Microsoft Teams notifications is no longer so, since the latest version is compatible with macOS native notifications from macOS 10.15 or later, respecting the Do not disturb mode when we set it in the system.

Microsoft has made this announcement through a old Microsoft Teams support forum thread that has been discovered by the guys from Windows Latest and where we can read:

We are excited to share that Teams now supports Mac OS notifications on Mac OS 10.15 and above. With the release of this feature, Teams respects operating system notification features, such as Do Not Disturb, notification center triage, and more.

The fact that Teams have not supported Do Not Disturb feature and Notification Center so far is unexplainable, but as the saying goes: better late than never. Considering that people have been working from home with Teams installed, one of the most popular applications during the pandemic, it is strange that there has been a revolt among macOS users.
