MINISFORUM JB95 is another model that the Chinese firm has added to its range of mini-PCs. Some extremely compact desktops that you can place anywhere on the desk or living room, with enough performance for basic computing tasks (at least) and with prices that are usually quite contained.
This is the case of the new model of a company that accumulates new models every month and of very different fur. The MINISFORUM JB95 is intended for the entry-level processor-based range Intel Celeron N5095. A development of the ‘Jasper Lake’ series with which Intel aimed at budget PCs, whether they were small entry-level laptops or netbooks, including mini-PCs like this one in a square format with a size of 12.7 cm and a height of 4.6 cm.

This CPU is manufactured in 10nm technological processes under the new “Tremont” architecture. It has four processing cores, they can scale to a frequency of up to 2.9 GHz and an Intel UHD Graphics GPU with 16 execution units that reaches 750 MHz. Obviously, it will not allow you to play demanding games, but it will be enough for office automation and multimedia.
In this regard, it should be noted that it has two HDMI and Display Port outputs to which you can connect monitors and transport content with 4K resolutions. On the back it also offers a USB Type-C port for power supply and two other USB 3.0 Type-A ports for data. It includes a Gigabit Ethernet connector and supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.0.
On the front there are two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, another USB Type-C and a headphone jack. There is also a CMOS reset button in case you ever need to restore the JB95 to its factory settings.
Inside, it includes one 8 Gbyte DDR4 memory module and another free for user expansion. For storage, mount a 128, 256, or 512 Gbyte capacity M.2 2280 SSD, plus a 2.5-inch bay for additional SATA storage, be it a hard drive or solid-state drive.
The MINISFORUM JB95 includes a pre-installed Windows 10 Pro license (although Linux can be installed without major problems since the firm supports it in other models) and is available on the international channel on sites such as Geekbuying. It is also available on Amazon Spain in various configurations according to capacity, the version with 128 GB SSD for 319 euros and the 256 GB version for 339 euros.
Moderately priced for a compact tabletop that you can install anywhere in a consumer desk, office, or home theater room.
