Monoprice Monolith M-210 and M-212: THX Ultra Certified Dual Driver Subwoofers

Monoprice has introduced two new dual driver subwoofers ideal for those of us who want good bass but don’t have enough space: Monoprice Monolith M-210 and Monolith M-212. What makes these subwoofers different is that instead of a driver, each of them includes two controllers. This provides powerful bass without taking up as much floor space as a subwoofer with a horizontal layout, as the two drivers are stacked inside the cabinet.

Monoprice’s new subwoofers are available in two sizes: 10-inch (Monolith M-210) and 12-inch (M-212). Both models have THX Ultra certified, meaning they have passed THX’s stringent application and performance standards. In fact, both the M-210 and M212 have received THX Ultra certification, which means they’re optimized for use in rooms up to 3,000 cubic feet in volume, or about 850 m2.

As for power, both the Monoprice Monolith M-210 and M-212 use a Claridy DSP1000 Class D amplifierwhich offers 1000W RMS with peaks up to 1800W. Each of the subwoofers features two newly developed high-excursion drivers capable of handling the aforementioned power without distortion, with an output port that can be used in an open or sealed configuration.
