Moon Knight is off to an excellent start on IMDB. The first episode got a score of 8.3/10. The character played by Oscar Isaac takes second place in the list of first episodes of Marvel series on Disney +, just behind Loki.
This Wednesday, March 30, 2022, Disney+ released the first episode of Moon Knight, its new Marvel series. The “season premiere” of the show seems to have been particularly appreciated by subscribers.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the famous database of film and series reviews, Moon Knight receivesa score of 85%. The consensus of critics is rather glowing: “its value as entertainment may rise and fall a bit, but Moon Knight finally settles down to a rather pleasant – and refreshingly weird – place in the MCU’s firmament”.
Moon Knight inherits rave reviews after the first episode
Same story on IMDB, the essential film and television database. The series with Oscar Isaac has gone up to a score of 9.1/10 on IMDBwithin 24 hours of its release.
The MCU’s most unhappy character does better than previous Marvel productions available on Disney+. As the MCU Report Twitter account points out, Moon Knight “has the highest rated first episode of any MCU Disney+ show released so far”.
The first episode of WandaVision inherits a score of 7.4/10. For its part, the first episode of the Falcon and the Winter Soldier series obtained 7.6/10, against 7.6/10 for the premiere of Hawkeye and 7/10 for What if?. The first episode of Loki does well with a score of 8.7/10.
Note that the score recorded by the first episode has since been revised downwards. At the time of this writing, mixed reviews have lowered Moon Knight’s score up to 8.3/10. Currently, the Moon Knight sits right behind Loki.
Let’s hope that the next episodes can raise the rating of the series, whose launch is very promising. For the record, Disney+ will broadcast the second episode of Moon Knight from Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Until then, we are waiting for your opinion in the comments. Did you enjoy the first episode?
