Disney and Marvel have just unveiled the first trailer for Moon Knight, the next Disney+ exclusive series. According to our colleagues from the specialized site ComicBook, the trailer was particularly well received on YouTube by the fans since it exploded all the counters!
As you may know, Moon Knight will be the sixth Marvel series to land on Disney+. The first episode will arrive on the platform on March 30, 2022. The show will therefore take place in the 4th phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and will have to impose its style with WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and Hawkeye.
According to our colleagues from the specialized site comic book, fans were obviously eager to check out the first trailer for Moon Knight. Indeed, the video exploded all the counters on YouTube. Note that the trailer was broadcast in world preview this Monday, January 17, 2022 during the NFL Wildcard game between the Arizon Cardinals and the Los Angeles RAMS on ESPN.
On Youtube, the first images of Moon Knight have exceeded one million likes on Marvel’s YouTube channel, effectively beating the trailers for Hawkeye (915k views), WandaVision (760k views), the 1st and 2nd trailers for Loki (723k and 695k views) as well as the second trailer for Falcon and the Winter Soldier (652k views).

In addition, the site reveals other statistics concerning the trailer for the next Disney+ exclusive. Indeed, the trailer scored 75 million views in the first 24 hours. 52 million views were achieved online, while the remaining 23 million are due to ESPN viewers.
Social engagement for Moon Knight created 263,000 mentions, surpassing WandaVision (241,000) and Falcon and the Winter Soldier (218,000). Rather surprisingly, the show with Oscar Isaac even mobilized more users than The Mandalorian (221,000).
As a reminder, Moon Knight will enjoy a 5-star casting with in particular the excellent Oscar Isaac in the title role, Ethan Hawke in the role of the main antagonist, and the late Gaspard Ulliel. Indeed, it will be the last appearance of the French actor, who lost his life following a skiing accident this Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
