Moto G53, 5G, SoC Snapdragon and 120 hertz for 120 euros to change

If yesterday we echoed the launch of the amazing Moto X40, today we do the same with the Moto G53. And it is that, despite being located in very, very different segments, both share two characteristics, one good and one bad. The good news is a spectacular price, the bad news is that, at least for now, they are only available in the Chinese market. However, knowing the deep international character of the brand, we can hopefully wait for its arrival in other markets.

If we were surprised by the price of the Moto X40 for being a high-end range, in a position to compete with more than one top of the range, this Moto G53 is a much humbler proposal, for the entry-level range that, however, stands out in more than One aspect, in which it is on familiar terms with the mid-range, and it does so at a price, at least in its domestic market, that can put the cheapest offers from many other manufacturers against the wall.

Starting with the interior of this Moto G53, we see that it is commanded by a Snapdragon 480+ SoC, an integrated presented in October of last year and that we have previously seen in other devices of the brand, such as the Moto G62. We are talking about an octa-core chip with two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2 GHz and another six Cortex-A55 at 1.8 GHz that is accompanied by an Adreno 619 GPU. It is complemented by 128 gigabytes of internal storage and 4 or 8 gigs of RAM, depending on the configuration. The entire set is powered by a battery 5,000 milliampsa very common capability in Motorola smartphones, and comes with Android 13 to control the controls.

Regarding its exterior, let’s start with its screen, built with a panel 6.5-inch IPS-LCD able to offer a humble resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels in a 2.22:1 aspect ratio, for a density of about 280 dots per inch, but with a refresh rate that can scale up to 120 hertzsomething very rare in entry-level phones, and with makes it a great option for those who love undemanding but moving image games, as well as for playing multimedia content.

In its photographic section we find a main camera made up of two elements, a main sensor of 50 megapixels accompanied by a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a front camera located in a hole in the upper center of the screen, which hides an 8-megapixel sensor.

As we have already told you, there are two versions of the Moto G53 that have seen the light of day in the Chinese market, one with four gigabytes of RAM and another with twice as much, eight gigabytes. The price of the first is 899 yuan, while the top model amounts to 1,099 yuan, which in exchange is 121 and 148 euros, respectively.
