NVIDIA’s latest RTX™ 40 series is now making its way into our laptops, starting with the MSI Stealth 15 A13V. The PC features a dedicated GeForce RTX™ 4060 laptop GPU, which boasts 8 GB of GDDR6 RAM, while the previous generation RTX™ 3060 laptop only had 6 GB of RAM. A memory gain that contributes to the higher performance of this latest iteration.
The RTX™ 4060 in charge of the graphics processing of the MSI laptop PC also takes advantage of the DLSS 3 technology, exclusive to the NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 40 series. Thanks to this functionality based on artificial intelligence, it becomes possible to play in the best conditions, in complete fluidity and with a high number of frames per second. To achieve such a feat, DLSS 3 calculates the rendering in a lower definition, which boosts performance. Then the AI takes over to scale the image to the desired definition. We thus obtain the expected visual experience while guaranteeing satisfactory fps to the player.
The RTX™ 4060 is also the power of ray tracing, enabled by the new Ada Lovelace architecture introduced with the latest generation of NVIDIA graphics cards. The GPU calculates and simulates the behavior of light in in-game environments for lighting effects that are as realistic and detailed as they are spectacular. The third-generation RT cores in the RTX™ 40 take ray tracing to an even more impressive level. And with DLSS 3 enabled, you can enjoy ray tracing without worrying about in-game performance.
Another advantage brought by the graphics card from NVIDIA is the Max-Q, a set of technologies developed especially for the optimization of resources on laptop computers. Thanks to Max-Q, compact laptops gain in autonomy and are quieter, while offering performance worthy of a desktop PC.
A 13th generation Intel CPU
MSI packs a high performance CPU into its Stealth 15 A13V in the form of the recently released 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-13620H. Counting on a clock frequency of up to 4.90 GHz and 24 MB of cache memory, this processor can smoothly handle multitasking, video rendering, the most demanding games as well as any other demanding process.
The CPU’s enhanced hybrid architecture is comprised of 6 Performance Cores (P-Cores) and 4 Efficient Cores (E-Cores), a combination that enables better resource allocation and more efficient power efficiency. Intel is also switching to 7nm engraving for its H-series Raptor Lake processors, which also contributes to improved performance and better controlled heating.
By being equipped with such a powerful CPU and GPU, you should not skimp on the cooling of the laptop PC, and MSI has understood this well. The Stealth 15 A13V features an MSI Cooler Boost Trinity+ cooling solution and a new system including three fans and five heat pipes. Such a device helps to improve the thermal capacity of the components when they are subjected to heavy loads.
The computer is also distinguished by the presence of 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, with two slots for modules available to extend the RAM up to 64 GB if necessary. The device has 1 TB of PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 NVMe SSD storage, enough to install many games and programs and keep all your photos and videos on a particularly fast disk. A second slot of the same type is vacant to accommodate another SSD and increase the storage space of the PC.
4K 120Hz display
Rest assured, the performance generated by the computer will serve to flatter your retina. MSI has incorporated a 15.6-inch screen with thin edges of a quality rarely seen on a laptop to take advantage of all this computing power. The IPS panel offers 4K UHD definition (3840 x 2160) and a 120 Hz refresh rate. You can therefore watch your video content (series, films), play games, carry out creative activities in the best image quality, all with unfailing fluidity. The display also covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space for rich, accurate colors.
The Stealth 15 A13V is compatible with Matrix Display technology, which allows the connection via HDMI and USB Type-C ports of up to two external displays, supported in addition to the laptop screen. It is even possible to enjoy an output image definition of up to 8K.
The sound is not outdone with the Dynaudio audio system, consisting of two speakers and supporting the Hi-Res standard and the Nahimic by Steelseries driver, for audio without loss of quality and immersive.
The PC comes with Windows 11 Home pre-installed, so there is no need to purchase a license yourself and manually install the operating system. As always with the brand, the MSI Center (including the Gaming mode) allows you to personalize your experience and configure your settings to obtain the best performance according to your uses.
