MSI expands its offering of desktops, MPG and MAG series

MSI has updated its line of desktop computers with a leading role for the new batch dedicated graphics, the GeForce RTX 4070 that NVIDIA has just launched and of which we have given you a full account, including several product analyzes. The graphics is combined with the latest generation of intel processorsthe thirteenth generation ‘Raptor Lake-S’.

Desktop towers have lost market share in recent years compared to other formats such as laptops and, in addition, a part of users creates and maintains them on their own. It has its advantages, but there are market situations like the current one, with a high cost of components, where it may not be worth making one yourself thinking only of price.

Fortunately, there are original equipment manufacturers that maintain a few series of these classic desktop computers. Like MSI, which has just introduced three new models that we are going to present to you.

MSI MPG Infinite X2 13F

The largest in size of the trio, with a ATX tower with transparent side panel and RGB lighting, with dimensions of 215 x 429 x 489 mm, it is also the most powerful with the option of installing up to the CPU Intel Core i9-13900K and in dedicated graphics up to the GeForce RTX 4090the most powerful in the consumer market.

It has four slots to mount up to 128 Gbytes of DDR5-4800 MHz RAM and a good number of power options, including two M.2 PCIe 4.0 and other SATA. It is equipped with a Silent Storm Cooling 2 optimized cooling system and an “easy upgrade” design, which allows gamers to upgrade components without the need for tools. It has the expected connectivity elements with Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2.

MSI MPG Trident AS 13th

The smallest of the three models, with a chassis of only 10 liters and dimensions of 367 x 137 x 419mm, it is also equipped with transparent side glass and the Mystic light lighting system. It has Silent Storm Cooling 3 refrigeration technology and has three independent steam chambers.

This Trident can equip processors up to Intel Core i7-13700 and the newly released dedicated graphics GeForce RTX 4070. It has two slots to mount up to 64 Gbytes of DDR4 3200 MHz memory and despite its compact size it is also well served for internal storage, with two M.2 for PCIe SSDs and two 2.5″ bays.

MSI MAG Infinite S3 13th

The third of MSI’s new desktops is a mid-tower with dimensions of 174 x 447 x 407mm. It can include up to the Intel Core i7-13700 as a processor and in the graphic section several NVIDIA options up to the RTX 4070. It offers options to choose between DDR4 or DDR5 type RAM (up to 64 GB) and for storage a PCIe SSD, a bay 2.5″ and another 3.5″.

The connectivity options are similar to those of the previous ones, including Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth. All pre-install Windows 11 and will be available soon on the international channel.
