MSI is “meta-ready” with its new gaming computers

MSI just took advantage of CES to make some crazy announcements with 16 different products. Back to MSI gaming computers here.

Since the beginning of the week, we are starting to get used to being assailed by news everywhere. But the MSI introductory conference has us face to face with the wall. Indeed, it is not one or two models that the firm presented, but well… sixteen!

If we are not going to study them all in detail, let’s already see what these products have in common. The first point, and surely the most important, is that these computers have the latest 12th generation Intel chip. In addition to this pure power, the computers all have a graphics card from Nvidia of the latest generation, ranging from the RTX 3070, to the most high-end model in this segment: the portable RTX 3080 Ti.

Stealth GS77 and GS66: the stars of the evening

Within its wide range of new gaming computers, some series names still sound more familiar than others. Indeed, the Stealth GS77 and GS66 take over from a generation of the brand’s well-known product. They were presented by the brand as the flagship of this year, they which are light and powerful computers. The GS77 model is based around a 17-inch screen, while the second is entitled to a slightly smaller screen size at 15.6 inches.

Another small difference between these two models, the GS77 has a phase change liquid metal in its heart to better manage the cooling. These two computers are sold in different configurations up to 64 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. In terms of the weight displayed on the scale, the GS77 gets away with 2.7 kilos, while the GS66 only weighs 2.1 kilos.

Raider GE76 and GE66: the best of the best

They were not presented by MSI as the best computers of the brand yet the two new Raider models are surely the most powerful products that MSI has been able to unveil. With a 12th generation i9 processor, and an Nvidia graphics card, they appear to be carbon copies of the Stealth models shown just above. The four computers also share the same UHD, QHD or Full HD screen depending on the configurations. The refresh rate varies between 120 and 360 Hz, depending on the model.

But what sets Raider computers apart from others is their cooling system. Indeed, the latter is much more powerful which allows the Raider to reach an incomparable power by another MSI computer. The brand assures that this should allow players to enjoy a smooth and clear experience, in all circumstances.

Vector GP76 and GP66: the new kids

The two new Vector models have just arrived in the MSI range. The Taiwanese brand wants to make it a benchmark in the world of gaming by offering ever more efficient products. Rather put aside in the past, the MSI GP range will become with this new name a real guideline of the firm.

Today the brand is proud to announce that its computers are capable of reaching 210W thanks to MSI OverBoost, against 220 for the Raider range presented just above.

Crosshair, Pulse, Sword and Katana

In the rest of the announcements made by MSI this year at CES, the brand was also noted for its partnership with the French studio Ubisoft. MSI has indeed just offered three new models within its Crosshair range. In addition to the two expected versions, the 17 and 15, the brand are offering an exclusive edition of the Crosshair 15 inspired by the hit game Raimbow Six Extraction.

Like the Pulses, these computers are sold by MSI as recognizable among a thousand with their unique design. On the Pulse models, the GL76 and GL66, the airflow circulation has been improved by 5% compared to the old generation thanks to the Cooler Boost 5 technology, present on almost all models of this year.

Finally, the two versions of the Sword and Katana range are designed primarily for players. The idea is to give them the best possible feeling with complete products, using Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics cards, as well as a 12th generation Intel i7 processor.
