Netflix announced the Japan 2021 Festival, an event completely dedicated to animation and Japanese cinema with news on anime productions already present, or which will arrive soon, in the catalog of the streaming giant.
In addition to presenting its subscribers with an exciting range of anime and live action titles, Netflix Festival Japan 2021 will see the participation of prominent Japanese actors and voice actors, as well as many content creators – from Japan and around the world – engaged in the making of anime and films.
The event will be streamed worldwide on Netflix Japan and Netflix Anime YouTube channels on November 9 and 10, 2021.
The Netflix Festival Japan 2021 program
The program of the event, published on the official Netflix website, was divided into two thematic sections:
Netflix will introduce titles released between October and December 2021, just in time for the holiday season, including the second part of the first season of The way of the apron – The homemade yakuza, Super Crooks And Aggretsuko 4, as well as titles expected with the new seasons such as Ultraman, Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, Record of Ragnarok And Rilakkuma’s Theme Park Adventure.
There will also be new updates on films and series that will be released in 2022, including Spriggan, Thermae Romae Novae And Drifting Home.
Fans who follow the live stream will be the first to see new series, key visuals and unreleased trailers.
Live Action Day
On this day the upcoming Netlflix live action movies will be presented such as Time to Grow – We Couldn’t Become Adults (whose debut is expected in November 2021) e Asakusa Kid (premieres December 9), as well as titles due out in 2022, including the TV series The Journalist, Fishbowl Wives, He’s Expecting, First Love and the movie Love Like the Falling Petals.
News also on the reality and documentary front without forgetting that during this two-day event, Netflix will also release a video that will present a list of upcoming live-action, including exclusive clips.
