Netflix will make you shiver with Archive 81

The platform has just shared the trailer for Archive 81, halfway between Paranormal Activity and Last Night in Soho.

For the start of the year, Netflix is ​​not slowing down its efforts to expand the ranks of its SVOD platform. The program is particularly busy for the month of January, with many feature films and series due to arrive in the coming weeks. Among them, Archive 81 hears make us shiver with his plot halfway between Paranormal Activity and Last Night in Soho.

Based on the principle of found-footage, widely used by horror for years, the new series of the platform will immerse us alongside an archivist who investigates a mysterious fire that occurred in 1981 in a building. But by viewing the video cassettes left by one of the inhabitants, he will discover that dark forces are at the origin of the tragedy.

As he nears his goal, he discovers that he may have the ability to save everyone in the building and change the events of the past. But playing with black magic can be dangerous, and his own life is in danger more than ever.

Inspired by a podcast

Written by Rebecca Sonnenshine (The Boys) and Paul Harris Boardman (The Exorcism of Emily Rose), the series is inspired by the eponymous podcast created by Marc Sollinger and Daniel Powell. In production, we find a regular: James Wan to whom we owe the license Conjuring. Behind the camera, we find Rebecca Thomas (Everything’s Gonna Be Okay).
