New Chuwi CoreBook X Pro with 144 Hz display

The Chinese company has confirmed an interesting renewal of the Chuwi CoreBook X Pro, an ultralight laptop designed for professionals that stands out, in general, for offering a pretty solid value price-performance ratio.

The Chuwi CoreBook X Pro is a laptop made of aluminum that has a pretty nice design Thanks, above all, to its angular line and to the red stripe located at the bottom of the chassis, which contributes to a more striking touch and which contrasts quite well with the gray color of the equipment. It doesn’t look as good as an LED lighting system, but it gives it a distinctive touch.

This new version of the Chuwi CoreBook X Pro introduces a 144 Hz panel, a refresh rate that has become almost a standard in gaming laptops, but does not have the same level of acceptance in work laptops. It is a minor improvement compared to the 120 Hz panel that the original model mounts, but in any case we can consider it a success.

Otherwise, the Chuwi CoreBook X Pro keeps all the specifications of the original model intact, including the processor. Intel Core i5-8259U with integrated Iris Plus 655 graphics, a fairly balanced configuration that will allow us to enjoy a good user experience, thanks to its quad-core, eight-thread CPU with a high IPC. As for the integrated GPU, it has enough power to move not very demanding applications and content in 4K.

Comes with 8 GB of RAM so we don’t have any problems working with multitasking, and it has a 512 GB Kingston SSD, although we have a second slot to add another SSD in M.2 format. Its weight is 1.8 kilograms, a weight that makes it a team that is at the limit of what we can consider as an ultralight. We can buy it for only 492 euros, a price that, as we anticipate, is good for what it offers.
