New edition of the event for video game developers, “Beer Jam by San Miguel”

This year, Cervezas San Miguel goes one step further and presents the second edition of the Beer Jam by San Miguel in face-to-face format, a challenge that will meet from July 1 to 3, to developers from all over the country so that they can create their own video game. The event will be held within the framework of the DreamHack Valencia Festivalthe meeting point for the gamer community in our country.

Cervezas San Miguel, in its eagerness to arouse concern in the gaming territory, launches a new edition of the Beer Jam by San Miguel, with the aim of supporting and giving visibility to the sector of video game developers in Spain, valuing their work and helping them overcome the obstacles they face in carrying out their profession in our country.

In the last edition, 55 video game developers from all over the country had the opportunity to create their own video game. “Ultimate Beer Racer”, was the winning project created by the developer Javier Coder. It’s an online game with a multiplayer option, in which the main character is a San Miguel beer that doesn’t want to get hot and must get to a fridge as soon as possible, crossing a hot map.

In this new edition of the Beer Jam by San Miguel, teams of up to four people will participate with the aim of transforming their ideas into reality and presenting a demo of their projects. The winners of the event will receive a prize of €5,000, plus €7,000 for the development of the video game, and the two finalist teams will receive €2,000 and €1,000, respectively.
