Specialized in Google news, he announces that the code name of the Pixel Watch appears in the database of an American operator. Called “Rohan”, the watch appears alongside another product codenamed “Bluejay”. A bird’s name (Blue Jay) which refers to Google’s future Pixel 6a.
New information on storage and colors
The operator’s inventory system does not just mention and evokes certain technical characteristics. We learn that the Google Pixel Watch will be available in three colors (gray, black and gold) and that it will come with 32 GB of storage. A comfortable amount that would allow the watch to be on par with the Apple Watch. For comparison, the Samsung Watch4 under wearOS is content with 16 GB. In addition to a Bluetooth version, the Pixel Watch would land in a Bluetooth + 4G variant.
To accompany Google’s first connected watch, the Pixel 6a would also land in three different colors. The phone would be available in black, white and green with a storage amount of 128 GB. The latest rumors evoke the presence of a Google Tensor SoC flanked by 6 or 8 GB of RAM. A 6.2-inch OLED screen would also be included. Regarding the photo part, it would revolve around a 12.2 megapixel wide-angle sensor. A 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and an 8-megapixel front camera would complete the photo component.
A presentation at Google I/O?
These new elements tend to confirm that the Pixel 6a and Pixel Watch will be released in the first quarter. The announcement would come around Google I/O, which usually takes place in May. However, the Mountain View company has not yet confirmed the dates of its event.
