Lenovo is preparing a major renewal of its line of ThinkPad laptops that, if all goes according to plan, will be available in June of this year. The number of models that we have been able to see is considerable, and they are aimed at covering the needs of different user profiles, including those who need a powerful laptop that allows them to unify work and leisure, and also those who need greater mobility.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 5 is one of those models that prioritizes performance, but without sacrificing good mobility, since this equipment has a starting weight of 1.87 kilograms, it will come configured with processors Intel Alder Lake-H with vPro Technology, it will support anything from a GeForce RTX 3050 Mobile to a powerful RTX 3080 Ti Mobile and will be MIL-STD 810H military-grade rugged certified. Its starting price will be 2,749 euros. They will arrive in June.
The new generation Lenovo ThinkPad P16s and Lenovo ThinkPad P14s will also use processors Intel’s Alder Lake, but in its P variant which, as some of our readers will know, are characterized by having a lower TDP. They will also incorporate vPro technology, maintain military-grade strength certification, and weigh 1.73 kilograms for the 16-inch model and 1.39 kilograms for the 14-inch model. The starting prices will be 1,549 and 1,529, respectively. These will be available in April.
On the other hand we have the new generation Lenovo ThinkPad T16, T14 and T14s. They will maintain the configuration with Intel Alder Lake processors, but in their P and U versions (the latter is ultra-low power), as well as vPro technology. We will also see versions configured with Ryzen Pro 6000 APUs. Intel-based models will support a RTX 2050 Mobile dedicated GPUwhile versions based on AMD chips will use integrated Radeon 600M GPUs.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T16 and T14 can be configured with 4G LTE, will arrive in June, will weigh 1.64 kilograms and 1.21 kilograms and will cost €1,399 in its base configuration. The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s can be configured with 5G, will weigh 1.22 kilograms and will cost 1,599 euros.
