M1-Pro

Apple has presented at this event the new M1 Pro and M1 Max. The new chips that will be dedicated to the MacBook pro. A true wonder in a small size. The largest of them is the M1 Max, it reminds us of the iPhone.

The new MacBook Pros will be powered by new chips. The M1 Pro has up to 10 CPU cores, with eight high-performance and two low-power cores. In terms of graphics, the M1 Pro has a 16-core GPU, which is up to twice as powerful as the M1.

The M1 Max is based on the M1 Pro And it starts with a dual memory interface, up to 400GB / s, up to 64GB of unified memory with 57 billion transistors. It has the same 10-core CPU, but a 32-core GPU that is up to seven times faster.

Being a little more specific and following what we heard from Johnny Srouji on Apple’s live broadcast:

Here are the M1 Pro specifications:

  • Memory bandwidth 200 GB / s
  • Up to 32GB unified memory
  • ProRes
  • 2 more times transistors than M1
  • 70% faster than M1
  • CPU up to 10 cores
  • GPU up to 16 cores
  • Motor neural
  • Thunderbolt 4
  • Support for up to 2 external displays

M1 Max:

  • Memory bandwidth 400 GB / s
  • 32-core GPU
  • 57 billion transistors
  • Until 64GB unified memory
  • Until 70% less energy consumption
  • ProRes
  • Motor neural
  • Thunderbolt 4
  • Support for up to four external displays

We find two chips in which the daily tasks with the MacBook Pro will be a breeze, but the most tedious tasks such as the use of PhotoShop or audio and video editing programs will become easier and easier. You only need to see them in real life, because on paper, there is no rival or nothing to criticize.
