New program for users to repair their devices

repair by users themselves

One of the things that Apple users have always complained about, some more than others, is the prices of repairs by technical services authorized by Apple. This resulted in third parties being taken to repair at certain times with the risk that this entailed of losing warranties or correct operation of the device. But things will change with the new program of the American company that will allow users to repair by themselves the devices.

Apple has announced the launch of a new user repair program. It will provide customers who want to perform device repairs, such as screen replacement and exchange of batteries, tools and original parts to do repairs on their own at home. How could it be less, the new self-service repair program will be available first to customers in the United States. It will start with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13. It will soon be followed by Macs with M1 chips, and will expand to customers in other countries throughout 2022.

Creating greater access to Genuine Apple Parts gives our customers even more options if a repair is needed. In the last three years, Apple has nearly doubled the number of service locations with access to genuine Apple parts, tools, and training. We are now providing an option for those who wish to complete their own repairs.

Customers looking to do a home repair should order original parts and tools from Apple. They will use Apple’s online self-service repair store to do this. Will offer customers a repair manual for instructions. After repair, customers to return their used parts for recycling will receive credit for their purchase.
