New report puts Apple TV + subscribers at 40 million

Apple TV +

We all already know Apple’s division for online audiovisual entertainment. Taking into account that it is a project that the company considers independent apart from other devices, right now, we can say that it is not one of those that occupy the first places in this type of service. A new report indicates that it currently owns 40 million users but only half would be from paying subscribers.

According to the specialized editorial The Information:

Analysts previously estimated that the service had around 40 million subscribers at the end of last year, a figure that a person close to the service said was fairly accurate. Approximately half of the subscribers are paying for the service, while the others are on free trial periods, said the same source.

Many of those users will have obtained the free period due to the purchase of an Apple device that was being promoted, so as they say, everything stays at home. Apple TV + is an important service to Apple and you should make the most of it. It has always been committed to the same for quality instead of quantity, so you have to understand that the number of users does not grow in the same way that other competitors such as Netflix or Disney + grow.

The amount of programs that one and the other have, currently cannot be compared, but neither in number nor in quality of productions. Apple + prides itself on having a lot of original content that other services don’t have. Especially many series and programs that are getting numerous international and national awards, something that you have and should show off.

Apple wants to invest in the service and will continue to do so. So it is a matter of time before that number of paying subscribers increases exponentially.
